Marketing Strategist


Note: This position is remote or can be based out of either our Indianapolis, IN or Tampa Bay, FL locations.


We are looking for an experienced Marketing Strategist who thrives on solving challenges in collaboration with healthcare, pharma, health insurance, and life sciences clients.

They are keenly aware of digital trends and technologies that are shaping decentralized clinical trials, telehealth, and more. In addition, this person acts as the bridge between our account and creative groups (i.e., copywriters, designers, etc.). They synthesize existing and new client requests (RFPs, proposals, etc.), develop creative briefs, facilitate research initiatives, and provide direction to our creative groups to bring the strategic vision of campaigns and other projects to life.

Responsibilities 

As the Marketing Strategist and as a key member of the Creative & Strategy Group, your core responsibilities include . . .

  • Identifying and clarifying clients’ business and marketing goals
  • Leading research opportunities to uncover key insights about audience, brand, competitors, and the healthcare industry
  • Developing audience journeys, with an emphasis on how specific tactics and channels will engage them at each touchpoint
  • Defining KPIs for clients’ marketing strategies
  • Building the strategic direction for clients’ brands, campaigns, and other initiatives
  • Translating strategic insights and recommendations into creative direction for our copywriters, designers, videographers, and other groups
  • Ensuring that all tactics our team produces align with our clients’ goals and business objectives
  • Measuring the impact of our efforts and guiding our clients and our team to refine strategic direction, as needed


Other Focus Areas 

As needed, this role will oversee and support project teams by:

  • Acting as a supervisor and mentor to all team members (Please note that this role may not have any direct reports at this time, but this role may assist in growing and building their team.)
  • Regularly checking in with healthcare client leads and providing support and guidance where needed
  • Working closely with team leads to manage resources and production schedules
  • Developing and implementing processes for all strategic projects in order to become more efficient and increase revenue
  • Suggesting tools that should be used for different types of projects and how these tools should be used
  • Collaborating with any third-party partners, such as market research companies


Here’s what you’ll need

  • Proven work history with 5+ years experience in marketing, strategy, communications, healthcare business/marketing strategy, or related field
  • Healthcare, pharma, health insurance, and/or life sciences experience preferred
  • Demonstrated experience leading major healthcare marketing initiatives and projects across all marketing channels
  • Passion for building client relationships and improving lives
  • Excellent communication abilities, including oral, written, listening, and presentation skills
  • Deep experience with marketing tactics and tools, including advertising and PR, digital marketing, video and animation, and web design and development
  • Experience leading teams and implementing/improving team processes
